Seabound

The tide hushes the edges of my memory,
its fingers of foam brushing the shore
like someone reluctant to let go.

I release each ache into the blue,
watching them drift past gull-shadow and sail—
prayers without names,
petals without stems.

I do not fear the leaving anymore.
I am seabound,
and the horizon carries my peace.

Cupid Has No Mercy

He struck without warning—
an arrow disguised as laughter,
as tenderness wrapped in dawn.

I was not prepared
for the sweetness to ache
or for longing to linger
like perfume on an empty scarf.

Love is no gentle visitor—
Cupid has no mercy,
only precision,
and a cruelly perfect aim.

Stillness Between Waves

The world is loud,
but there is a place inside me
that refuses to shatter.

I go there when storms rise—
to the stillness between waves,
where silence folds its arms around my shoulders
and tells me I am whole.

Here, nothing is broken.
Here, I remember who I am.

A Crown for My Childhood

I wandered barefoot through summers,
my crown woven from dandelions
and the laughter of sisters
who thought we ruled the world.

We ruled nothing
but each other’s joy,
and that was enough
to make queens of us all.

I keep that crown tucked
in the secret chambers of my heart—
it still fits.

Whispers from the Garden
A lily leans
toward the sun’s soft hymn,
while roses practice silence
in their velvet robes.

Petals keep secrets
that only the wind repeats—
whispers from the garden,
gentle as breath.
