Antonia Petrone Poetry | USA poet

O Precious waters

O precious waters
you are font of humanity,
filling the mind with invigorating peace.
Essential nature,
our connection is strong,
ingrained you stand
within our being.

Our intimacy is born between us
once we perceive our closeness.
The world is beautiful because of you.
You sooth the lands by your sacred touch.

Your force carries meaning and memories.
As you mirror nature and the sky above,
your body sweetly morphs colors and shades,
gifting our eyes with sublime poetic scenes.

Together we transcend ideas, lands and time.
Only our respect for you can keep you clean
to remain in time the beauty of our eyes,
and the essential nourishment of our existence.

Bridges of Adeje

Silence in a distance, only tides breaking.
Bridges joining barren and empty spaces.
Dark, the sand lying beneath my naked feet,
filling the darkness of my calm and peace.
77
And there wood bursts into fire,
burning what is left of my aching.
Memories appear in black and white,
holding in time and shedding their light.

Senses for life

Let me continue to plant life,
see it blossom through my fingers,
hold its beauty within my heart,
listen happily to its needs,
smell its essence delicately,
respecting it's only true wish:
to be taken care of.
Let the flowers bloom.
